Inspiring Future Healthcare Providers

Vida volunteers Frank and Julie recently began their medical school journey. Vida is proud to have mentored students that have been accepted into Medical Schools, Physician Assistant and Nursing Programs.

The Pre-Health Career Enrichment Volunteer Program

Vida Mobile Clinic believes in the importance of mentoring future generations. The Pre-Health Career Enrichment Volunteer Program provides medical career exposure to students from underrepresented communities, low-income backgrounds, and non-traditional paths. Vida's focus is to mentor and provide pre-health students with the tools necessary to succeed and become strong candidates for graduate and doctoral level healthcare programs. Vida is committed to the mentorship of these students so that one day these students may return to health shortage communities to provide care. These students will learn about the social determinants of health and will gain first-hand experience in seeing how barriers to healthcare can affect an individual’s health outcome.

In addition to clinical exposure, volunteers will receive personal statement feedback, a mock interview session, and networking opportunities.

You must be a Vida Mobile Clinic Volunteer.   We kindly ask for a commitment of a minimum of 30 hours.

Must be over 16 years of age.

*Due to limited clinic weekend dates,  most of the opportunities are on weekdays.

To apply, please complete our volunteer application here
