Vida Mobile Clinic, a non-profit organization, was envisioned by two Latina physician assistants as a response to the increasing healthcare needs of residents in the San Fernando Valley. Growing up in medically underserved communities, physician assistants, Karla and Ana learned first-hand how barriers to health care could impact health outcomes. This led to their desire to find a way to help underserved individuals. As healthcare providers, these two physician assistants have experience working with non-profit organizations and federally qualified health centers, serving impoverished and uninsured individuals. Their prior experiences led to the creation of Vida Mobile Clinic. Vida Mobile Clinic’s purpose is to increase health care access and promote healthy living for all individuals regardless of their socioeconomic status and ability to pay.
